A Nonprofit Organization for Environmental Preservation
Established in 1996 as an extension of the National Safari Club International organization based in Tucson, Arizona, formed to support conservation, wildlife, and habitat, with a strong focus on hunters' rights. NNSCI has now evolved through consumer demand into one of Northern Nevada’s premier outdoors conservation organizations. Recognized locally as a leader in protecting Nevada’s wildlife, their habitat, conservation, and our local area hunters, outdoorsmen, women, and our youth.
Our Mission
The Northern Nevada Chapter of Safari Club International’s mission is to promote the conservation, perpetuation, and scientific study of wildlife and natural resources, and to preserve and promote our sporting heritage within the state of Nevada, and around the world as part of SCI and the SCI Foundation.
Why Join SCI
Northern Nevada Chapter of SCI (NNSCI) has been working on and promoting SCl's Mission “ First for Hunters” as the leader in protecting the freedom to hunt and promoting wildlife conservation worldwide through Advocacy, Conservation and Humanitarian efforts.
Safari Club International is headquartered in Washington, D.C., which means SCI is uniquely positioned to build effective relationships with Congressional leaders and Federal Agencies on behalf of the hunting community. SCI isn’t just active at the federal level of government; SCI has a political presence in all 50 states as well, be it through our chapters or our Government Affairs staff.
The organization is First For Wildlife, investing millions of dollars into wildlife conservation and education every year.
